In the early 90's there used to be bitty babies but they had hair and they were boy and girl dolls to help girls take care of their little brothers or sisters.
What else has AG made and subsequently discontinued?
Amelia-was she for the older girls?

Was there another product line? I'm thinking of just the older girls that the GOML and Minis were targeted to.
What other product could they come out with for the older girls? I started thinking about this with Elizabeth. She could be part of a new product line, although no name has yet been trademarked, she could be a "spokesperson" for the new Club or she could be a replacement name for Rebecca. (we don't know what kind of doll Rebecca is, do we?)
I'm just fishing for ideas!

Amelia isn't completely discontinued since they still have her books, but her accessories and doll were. She's for the same target range as AG, basically, since AG dolls are for 8 and up and Amelia is for 8 and up.
* Another line they had that went out was a line of hairbows for girls...the fancy kind with the metal latch. They had cute names like Raspberry Ripple and Cotton Candy.
* Full-sized craft kits and games tying in with the historical dolls were also something discontinued. These could be bought as a subscription entitled "Pastimes Subscription."
These weren't geared toward older girls per se, but I found the craft kits I tried to be very challening at age 12, and one was completely impossible, so I considered it for older girls. [img]wink.gif[/img]
I've been with AG since the beginning and only the Girls of Many Lands and Mini*s seem to be lines that were specifically targeted for older girls. I'm wondering if they will give up on that age group now.
